Alexey von Berkun is a wonderful 12 month old Shepherd/Lab mix. This happy boy with the amazing glossy black coat and delightful white splotch is ready to be all yours. Alexey has learned quite a bit during his short time at the rescue. When he first came, he thought of a leash as a way to pull his person where he wanted to go but now he shows great leash manners and rarely pulls. What has not changed, however, is his winning personality. When not on the go, Alexey can be found sitting next to anyone who is willing to give him lots of love and pets and, when that person is done, Alexey will move and find his next cuddle victim. Alexey is a social boy who is the life of any party. He mingles with new people confidently and meets new dogs calmly and even gently if the dog is timid. Off leash, Alexey shows great pack manners. He meets everyone with the best intentions so sometimes it’s a surprise to him when another dog gets bossy towards him. Alexey would best be paired with another fun and sweet soul like himself. Everyone is so proud at how far Alexey has come -- from precocious puppy to darling dog. He still has much to learn but, with his engaging personality and willingness to please, he will thrive in an active home that will keep him busy in both body and mind.
